Nardil...football

Posted by jenny80 on May 5, 2007, at 5:09:44

I have managed to kind of get myself together slightly from last week. I am still depressed but not so agitated and sucidial. I think the nardil may have increased my anxiety a little as most antidepressants do to start.

I was hoping you could tell me how long the nardil took for it to kick in and also what your side-effects were? Did you ever try a tricyclic?

Thinking about giving nardil another go or maybe clomipramine or another TCA.

No, I've never tried a tricyclic.
The Nardil started to kick in at 60 MG, but I didn't feel a big effect until 75 MG.

I had/have more side effects then I can count... dizziness, weakness, fatigue (cured by Provigil), constipation, lack of appetite/weight loss, difficulty urinating, occasional headaches, blurred vision when reading, insomnia (fixed with seroquel), sexual problems, and low blood pressure.

However, all the side-effects, while annoying, were manageable. I've been on two drugs that I've had too quit because the side-effects were so severe, and if this is the case with you and Nardil, don't force yourself to do something that makes you utterly miserable.
