Over about a year my body has some what lost its metabolism.
Im 20 FREAKING years old!
Listen i take Zyprexa it helps somewhat with moods, and stablization, but it causes weight gain! i only take 2.5mg, or maybe its not any medications its just me.
I Havnet been working out, so if i can do that, not eat, or eat little snacks during the day losing weight is possible.
By the way there is pics of me now on social....
But we have got to find what is causing this, do i have low throyid?
Should i start dexedrine again? well i cant really until we come to a concluesion with something not setting off mania.

Since you're wondering if you have low thyroid, you should get it tested. You've mentioned that you used to work out regularly. Have you stopped? And if so, have you stopped because you're depressed and lack motivation, or for some other reason?
Part of a successful workout program is pure habit. If you've got out of the habit, you may need to gently remind yourself that you actually like exercising when you're doing it (I'm presuming this is true). A gym buddy might help, or a class. Or remind youself of what you can achieve because you've achieved it in the past. A body at 20 is capable of remarkable and rapid transformation. Keep that in mind.

also stopping dexedrine could be having quite an effect on your metabolism... how long ago did u stop the dexedrine? how long did you take it for? im 27 now and the last 2 years ive noticed kinda the opposite of what you are.... but when i was about 20 i had the same problem.... i was on no meds yet at that time tho...

I stopped taking ADHD medications over a year ago, then thats when my metabolism started to plummet.
I have been on Adderall for years and then stopping it just like warped my whole body's level, i started to gain some weight.
I have been smoking also, which, no actually alot, alot, because of stress at home, getting frustrated, i cant do this no longer, a 20 year old that has smoked for 2 years and already is having some difficulty, i have got to quit. WHICH can interfere with work outs, first of all i have less air.
Right now i dont know, going to the gym or meeting with a personal trainer, is the best thing.
Thanks

Why not get a good physical to rule out other causes first also as we age we tend to burn less calories and it seems to my recollection my first husband a string bean put on weight in his 20's no meds no changes in physical activity. Love Phillipa

You might want to add a stimulant to zyprexa, if at all posible. Try explaining that zyprexa makes you lazzy. If that does not work, try lots of caffine, diet soda, M-Dew is strongest. Ciggarettes are mild stimulants which is probably why you like smoking more now. Suggest Wellbutrin sr, as a replacement to smoking.
