Some questions... When seeking a new pdoc what quite of questions should you ask to determine whether or not they are conservative? I prefer not to work with Benzo and MAOI phobes... Any ideas?

As a psychologist who works with many psychiatrists, I'd say it's fine simply to ask her or his philosophy regarding benzos and MAOIs. You might as well not waste time, and get everything on the table ASAP. You are the *interviewer* as well as the interviewee.

When I moved here my first question of the docs was do you use benzos as I've been on them 35years they wouldn't say? Didn't ask about MAOI's. Love Phillipa

The older docs who had to work with less meds pre SSRI are better then the new generation of Pdoc IMO. I just tell em I am on Xanax, been on it for years and do you have a problem with that?
If they suggest Lunesta or an anti-phychotic instead, I know I am dealing with a weak fool who doesnt care about my past issues with these usless meds with tons of side-effects.
It only takes me one visit to out these weaklings and move on to someone who cares about more then my health insurance plan $$$.
This is the end of the thread.
