I think I want to switch from abilify to topamax. Topamax has been around around longer to have its trials and erorrs. Plus I think I could benifits from the relief on back, neck and headache pain. Its supposedly an anti depressant for some. A potiential curb of the appetite from my seroquel.
Abilify has just turned out too many side effects, now that I've 'tried' it. the 'ums' where I cant remember my damned point to my conversation. Heartburn. Yes constipation. I think dry mouth. Stuffy nose. Watery eyes. And munchies (weight gain).
Maybe remeron instead of seroquel. I know the only bad point is it makes me eat sweets. But maybe if I'm on the topamax as a antipsychotic, curb the appetite? I just dont find many goods with the seroquel except for insomnia.
I'm going to keep the Lamictal as a base coat. Just need to control my anxiety that it gives me. Switch from klonopin to Xanax for the anxiety. Im numb to the klonopin anyhow.
I'm going to the carnival today, so I will find if my ideas are rejected. I hope not. I'm just not on the right 'cocktail'.
Anyone with similar switcharoos? I'd like to hear the stories please. Thanx.

I went to the doc on Friday. I suppose when a person is on Lamictal, topamax shouldnt be added to the mix, he said. I wanted to switch from abilify to the topamax.
I need more money to switch from seroquel to remeron, because I get samples of it with my financial situation. Cant be too picky when I dont have a job at this time. Then again I think Id need topamax to curb the mean sweets cravings from remeron.
I did switch from klonopin to Xanax. And it seems to be working just great.
Patience is probably needed. I quit the Abilify because of munchies. Day 2 now. Yesterday I had a small salad and a half sandwhich, with a beer. Definate caloric cut back. If my stomach growls I can still be sane. So far so good.
Only complaint with meds as of now is seroquel munchies at night. Will need to find a home remedy for now. (besides eating ice cream!)
Thanks to anyone who listened =)

I wonder if remeron munchies are the same as seroquel. I just started seroguel and am actually kind of nauseaous. I am too thin so the munchies are welcome right now.
Remeron does make one like sweets that is for sure. I think my appetite is not so good because I just went from 25 to 50 of seroquel.

Johnny, thanks for the response. For me personally, remeron gave me more intense hunger. Saltwater taffy was my best friend. But if you need to gain the weight, it will probably work very well for you in that aspect. Hope the nausia goes away with the seroquel. Maybe some mylanta or something like that for upset tummy?
