Taking 300 mg Wellbutrin XL, and 2.5 mg Abilify for dysthymia.
Perviously, Wellbutrin + stimilants had been most effective combo for me. (already tried ssri's, maoi, remeron, tca's, etc.)
I have a bit of akathisia, but not too bad. Sleep is erratic - sleep a few hours, and nap briefly in the afternoon.
(this is after approx. 2 weeks on this combo)Went up to 5 mg Abilify for a couple of days, and slept most of the day...
Anyone else have experience w/this combo?
Are higher doses of abilify "ususally" more sedating?
If so, might I be better served to try 2.5 mg every other day, rather than doubling my dose to 5 mg per day?
(especially given the long half-life of abilify? -- i.e.: lower my dose rather than raise it?)Thanks for any feedback or insights.

I can't comment on higher doses of Abiilify, but I guess I can offer a do as I say but not as I do and try to avoid the naps. Naps may be inviting because of tiredness from depression and other reasons (and they restore me partially with my problems) but they change your clock radically. If you can stay awake through a day or three, you may be able to reset your clock. As for the combination I was going to say stimulant city, because of the akathisia. You might need either a bit of a benzodiazepine, propranolol, or Artane to quell that and you might have a better sleep cycle.
