I know Maxie posted above on the smell but three years ago I lost my taste and smell and was told that the neurons in my nose had been destroyed by a virus and theopline was the only med that could help. Is this true or scam as I traveled to two taste and smell centers on at Wake Forrest the othe in DC. Thanks Love Phillipa

Phillipa, did you take the theopline and did it help? Did you have any improvement in being able to taste and smell?

What did the doctor say when the medication didn't work for your problem? I would think that a taste or smell centre would know for sure what the cause is?
