I gave up on Symbyax because it turned me into a walking zombie. Now I'm on both Zyprexa and fluoxetine, but under separate prescriptions. I'm going to start with Zyprexa alone for a couple weeks, then add in the fluoxetine. I hope that this will keep the SEs manageable, though I don't know that it will.

I know they have said here that separate is best as you can fine tune the doses of each separately. Good luck Phillipa

Thanks, Phillippa. That's the plan, only my fine tuning involves leaving the fluoxetine out for as long as I can.

I never liked Prozac, but I found Celexa to work well with zyprexa.

Thanks for the thoughts. Zyprexa is going well so far on a very low dose. I've not yet added in the fluoxetine because that's usually where the SEs arise. I'm going to call my doctor next week and see if I can just go with the Zyprexa alone for a few weeks.
