What side effects do you find from lamictal as a augmentor for an SSRI. So far I'm on 25mg of the starter pack. I'm sleeping later and later as I cut down on luvox at l00mg now and valium 20mg at night. Any adivise. Wierd I'm sleeping later and later but then when I get up I'm anxious. Can't sit still. love Phillipa

---I took lamictal as an augmentor for a welbutrin, so not exactly an ssri, but I'll tell you the best I can figure out. While on it, I had some of the worst and most regular headaches of my life. Whatever mental benefits it gives are very subtle. My anxiety reached an all time high on the welbutrin lamictal combo. No naps or sleeping in for me. Some people swear by the benefits of lamictal. I'm not sure I had the right diagnosis for it.
Disclaimer - I drank while on it regularly, and I don't tend to pay attention to myself well enough to be positive of any side-effects. I'm anti-med right now, so maybe I shouldn't even post. I would have stayed on klonopin if it had been an option for me. benzo's seem to temper the nervousness of antidepressants and mood stabilizers for me.
