hi, i am new to this board but i wanted to know if anyone had strange dreams while on lexapro. i have been on lexapro for about 6 months, is this normal? i feel alot better on the lexapro but i don't want to stay on it if it is going to have bad long term effects. i can deal with the dreams (they are funny, sometimes exciting like i am in another life) as long as i know it will not eventually make me crazy. sometimes i wake up and have to think if what i dreamed really happened. please help!!

Lots of people have wierd dreams and I don't think it will make you crazy. Love Phillipa

I had the exact same problem with another drug, so I decided to start taking only half the dosage. That did the trick. The dreams are now gone. I hope this could be the solution for you too.

i'm only on 10, i think that is the lowest dosage & my dr. wants me to take 20 but haven't yet, i am afraid of more side effects.
