Hi - I have just restarted clomipramine. Currently on 40mg after 10 days. Will then go up to 50mg and eventually 75mg.
My original prob was PND and took paxil. Even though i got better i had severe withdrawal each time i tried to come off - symptoms much worse than my original ones.
2 years ago went on clomipramine and eventually stabilised.
Withdrew very slowly but now back in same situtaion. Very severe depression and anxiety.
I get very bad side effects from initial clomipramine and cant take more than 75mg without severe effect on blood pressure and pulse.
But now im terrified that because I stopped taking the clomipramine it wont work a second time.
Has anyone taken this or any other meds a second time and its still worked.
Last time it took a long time to start to get better- about 4/5 months but then i did get completely back to normal.
Is 75mg a good enough dose.
Sorry so many questions.

I don't know, Kizzie. I would love to hear what other folks have to say, too.
In the meantime, what does your psychiatrist say? S/he'll be able to comment better than I. But there are also a lot of very informed/knowledgeable folks on this board who also may be able to help...

I really don't know and dont think anyone can predict if it work again. Hopefully it will. Love Phillipa
