If I nap after work, I often wake fearful and depressed (so don't nap, you say:>}). I like going to bed at night, but I never know what morning is going to bring...so yes, I think I know what you mean.

I think we enjoy it sometimes when you "go" to sleep.
but sometimes when you have to wake up,

they where saying on the radio the other day

"do you ever feel good, and elevated, before bedtime, and after you wake up you feel terrible"
This is symtoms of Bi-polar disorder you should talk to your doctor about.

We all at work said "no because have to wake up and go to work" ha...

anyways, sleeping too much for me really makes me depressed because sometimes i will feel just bad.

Anyways, it varies.

It can definately, and interfere with the normal circadian rhythm cycle. If one can possibly push through a day (which I have difficulty) without napping then it would reset your clock.

I know the feeling of waking up sometimes and feeling depressed -- for me, since depression is secondary to my anxiety disorder and sleep actually helps at least 50% of the time for it, returning to the land of the living as it were is depressing, since it returns me back to what I suffer from.

It is kind of encouraging to hear others have encountered this connection between "napping" and waking up depressed sometimes.

I thought it was just me.

Like you Jay, depression is secondary to my anxiety....but is stinks when you fall asleep for a nap and wake up fearfull and depressed.
