Hi
I often wonder if I would get a better effect from the Prozac if I weren't taking the generic form.
Has anyone taken both and noticed a difference?

Yes, i have before, there really bearly is any diffrence, but it seems the regular Prozac name comes on smoother, not that you really "notice" it coming on. They really both are the same, Regular Prozac seems the same to me exept it says "Prozac" on the capsule.
I may try going on back on the regular and seeing any diffrence.

Hey Matt.
A psychopharmacologist asked me if I had switched to a generic form of Prozac when it pooped out on me. That's what got me thinking that maybe there is a difference. I am still trying to find answer. Trying, trying, Trying.

Hmmm. I wonder how much that will set me back at 80 mg a day. My insurance won't cover non-generic (if it's available as a non-generic). I'll call the pharmacy.

I was fine with prozac for a long time. Then when generic came out, I swear after a month or so I told my doc something just wasn't feeling the same. He said prozac and generic are identical. But ya know, it never was the same after the switch. Imagination? Coincidence?
I've just heard too many stories of real versus generic over the years to believe any more that they are identical. Somehow, someway, they are different. Just because a molecular diagram of the two looks the same, well, there's still something different that we aren't seeing. Just my opinion though.
This is the end of the thread.
