Posted by krybrahaha78 on January 31, 2006, at 14:13:45

I have been experienceing irritability on luvox lately and this is a new thing---any suggestions on something i can add to it to counteract irritability? I already take klonopin but only as needed.

That is strange as luvox is the most sedating of the SSRI's. Could it be a paradoxical reaction. Just a thought. Fondly, Phillipa

Hi, cutting out caffiene would be helpful,
luvox has an interaction with caffiene, i'm not sure of the exact mechanism, but when i was on luvox, i could only tolerate 1 cup of coffee
in the morning, which wasn't much at all for me, but it really interacted poorly with my luvox, even at 100 mgs. Luvox, like many meds can have a parodoxical reaction, it never sedated me for some reason, although my pdoc said it would...john

John, so maybe I should start drinking coffee again with the luvox. I stopped caffeine cuse it caused anxiety attacks. Love Phillipa
