Has anyone here found much benefit from Rozerem? If so, how much do you take? Can you cut the tablets? Does it make you groggy the following day? Did you experience any significant side effects?

I take 8 mg 30 minutes before bedtime. It helps me fall asleep faster, but I still wake up way too early. I wouldn't cut the tablets -- the shape of the pills don't allow for "clean" cuts.
No grogginess the next day. No side effects at all, at least as far as I can tell.
I think it is a **breakthrough** med. for helping people fall asleep.

Hi fires,
Thanks for your reply. You mentioned that Rozerem helps you fall asleep, but it doesn't help you stay asleep. I had that problem with over-the-counter Melatonin, even the sustained release form. So, what do you do when you wake up? You don't take more, do you? Do you take any other medicines?S.

When Rozerem was first marketed (this past summer, I believe), several posters here thought that it might have some antidepressant properties. Have you found that to be the case? Nearly every other non-antidepressant drug that was alleged to have antidepressant benefits (for example, Buspar) turned out to have no such benefits for me. Of course, being able to fall asleep and being able to get a good night's sleep can have an antidepressant effect, but is there more of an AD effect that you're aware of?

I take a large number of meds, but just Rozerem for sleep.
Other meds:
Wellbutrin XL, Lamictal, Clonazepam, Mirapex (for Periodic Leg Movements during sleep), Nexium, Zelnorm, atenolol, and Florinef.

I just started rozerem. I had been taking lunesta, but it did not last the night. My doctor told me that sometimes it takes a few days for total effect of rozerem to happen. I hope so because I would like a full night of sleep.
I too take Wellbutrin, lexapro, klonopin, Lamictal.
Please keep posted on how you do. Thanks
