just posting this incase it helps anyone else -
dont know why i didnt figure this out sooner.
for me, i have heinous anxiety right when i wake up in the morning.
so last night i made myself wake up and take a klonopin at 5:30 then went back to sleep.
when i woke up at 6:30 i did not have my normal racing heart.
i used to take it at 6:30 - but taking it an hour before i got up let it take effect before the panic could! :)

Thanks so much for the idea!
My anxiety seems to take shifts; I go for a while where it is horrendous in the mornings (horrible jumping jacks in the stomach!) then at times, it gets bad at night and the morning is best.
When my cycle turns back to morning's, I'll try this.I just started up my Klonopin again last week.
How much do you take?
I cut .5 in half and take it around 7 p.m.

I used to use the "I know it coming so take it as preventive therapy" when I discovered I KNEW I would experience afternoon anxiety. At first, I just noticed it appearing in the afternoon - almost like clockwork. I would wait until it occurred and dose. After a few times of this - it hit me - take it BEFORE the symptoms show up. Worked well for me, too.
maddy4, are things getting better for you? It sounds like it and I sure hope so.

Only trouble was, it seemed once I woke up I couldn't go back to sleep. Or if I did go back to sleep it also kind of seemed like I slept off some of the anxiety relief effects and still had some anxiety when I woke up and felt like I needed to take a little more to combat that. I'm glad it's working for you!

not sure - i guess things are slowly better - i credit the klonopin for that - dont really knowwhat the lex is doing (on 5 mg now) feel guilty abt taking ANYTHING - but at same time MUST...still have panic and anxiety but less - but also less motivated and more tired. at same time still have a ton of energy - just lessthan usual...and tired faster. if that makes sense. feel more cloudy - which i hate - less emotional - which im not sure if i like or hate - but DO like less anxiety - which is why i am willing to try this! :)
