Seroquel, dextroamphetamine, hydrocodone, fentenyl

I have recently added dextroamphetamine to my medication regimen (for Adult ADD), but it is not having the effect it has had in the past. Have read where haloperiolol and phenothiazines negate the effects of amphetamine. Is it possible that the Seroquel is having that effect? What about the differing effects on age? charlie-no-nose

Can I follow your thread? I'd like to know how age changes effects of meds too. Fondly, Phillipa

I know that the measured effects of ADHD treatment on adults is much lower than children. I'd assumed that was because adults have more years of bad habits.

I took adderall with Abilify, another atypical antipsychotic. The effects were definitely reduced; the level of reduction really depended on the dose of the Abilify. In addition to is anti-psychotic effects, Seroquel is *intensely* sedating, so that will also reduce the effectiveness of stimulants.
