Hi,
My boyfriend has recently started taking prozac but has found that whenever he drinks alcohol he starts getting panic attaks.
Are the two related, has anyone else found this?

No, but i have panic attacks on Prozac. I take Prozac 20mg
My doctor really put me on ULTRA clonazpam 5mg (thats alot) for panic.
Did he have an attack after it wore off (alcohol) I can understand that becuase it may be a withdrawl reaction.

Hi,
Yes, he has the panic attacks either the day after drinking or during the night, I guess it must be something to do with withdrawal effects.
I know all the SSRIs can cause the most horrendous anxiety and all day as I've suffered from it myself without the drinking.

I agree. That's why I've never been able to tolerate any of them. Fondly, Phillipa

Hi, I am a new member. I have severe anxiety attacks if I drink while taking prozac.
This is the end of the thread.
