Parnate or Effexor..

Posted by fires on July 31, 2005, at 20:25:05

for BP II? Wellbutrin doesn't seem to be doing the trick.

I suppose since I was on Parnate for 14 years without any mania, it might be OK. Effexor induced some hypomania, but I'm at 50 mg Lamictal and slowly increasing.

Thanks

Why did you stop Parnate? I have heard a lot of positive experiences with Lamictal.

A cardiologist was sure that it was causing my tachycardia. He was wrong. It turned out I had Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome:

I've also heard a lot of good news about Lamictal, both for BP and as an augmenter for unipolar dep., in addition to many other disorders including PTSD, BPD, etc...
