Trigeminal pain (SLS you out there? )

Does anyone out there suffer from trigeminal pain? I had a 6 day migraine that didn't respond well to any meds including Vicodin. After the worst of the migraine was gone, I was left with excrutiating trigeminal pain, and nothing is helping.

My p-doc just left for a well earned 2 week vacation, and I don't know if my GP will treat me. I don't want to go to another doctor, I have too many already! I want to try either Topamax to prevent the migraines I get every month, or Relpax to end them once they start. Would that work? Does anyone know? Anything else I can try?

Hi.

I really don't know enough about trigeminal neuralgia to comment on, except that one can find references to the use of anticonvulsants to help control it. My guess is that tricyclic antidepressants and perhaps Cymbalta would be helpful as well.

Check out Lyrica.
