I am on 50 mg of Parnate. Actually I don't know what to say. I am free of anxiety, depression but I am not motivated. Anxiety gave me a drive. Now it's gone. Everything seems to be so flat, emotionless. Is this the right feeling I have? The only thing I care is my Parnate supply and my girlfriend.

Hi Ixie!
I'm sorry to hear about your apathy, perhaps you could try 40mg instead.

Sounds like 'serotonergic' side effects.

Possable to be a few things.....Dopamine is both inhibitatory and stimulative, are you finding yourself pyhscialy lethargic too?I know at higher doses of parnate im physicaly weak, its hard for me to lift weights or do much of anything, and there is little stimulative effect. This sounds like possably your situation. You also have down regualtion, which is what a close knowledagbl friend of mine believes happens to me,cant say much other than the next day after heavy xyrem use parnate is more effective, possablely because of the additonal dopamine rebound release from xyrem.
I dont know, but oddly enough a small pieace of klonopin lots of times adds a anti-depressant effect and energy effect at that point, where as any more parnate added just deepens the flatness.
I think you would also have less of the problem as stated above by going down in dose.
