My doctor has just prescribed Zonegran. I'd like to know from those of you who have taken it, what side effects you have seen. What was your dosage? Also, how hard is it to stop taking Zonegran if you must get off?

After Topamax gave me terrible bladder and kidney infections I stopped and tried Zonegran. I new within the first week and it would be the same as Topamax. Zonegran made me pee and pee and pee. I was too afraid of getting more raw bladder feelings and infections like I did with the Topamax so I stopped.
According to the makers of Topamax, only about 1or 2% of the test population experienced the raw bladder/infection thing. Lucky me.

Sorry about your bad experience with Zonegran. It sounds like it was similar to Topamax. I couldn't take Topamax either. It made me very sick feeling: nauseated, drugged, headache, just yucky.
