I just started taking Adderall for ADD. I'm a young college student and value my health. I've noticed that after taking my morning dosage, my penis becomes alarmingly small and discolored. After some research, I understand this to be due to the restriction of veins.
Will taking Gingko Biloba help alleviate this side effect? My sexual partner is not pleased with my inability to become arouse for the 7 hours after dosage. I've read that Gingko has helped alleviate sexual side effects in anti-depressants.
Anyone have any experience or expertise? Please help ASAP!

ginkgo can be stimulating. I would be cautious in combining it with another stimulant.
Does anyone else have ideas ?

It's some arenaliney effect, is it? I doubt Ginkgo will help much for that, but what do I know? I guess you can't (or don't want to) use dexedrine. Would that be better?

Do you mean adrenaline-y?I read on another post somewhere that Gingko Biloba helps widen blood vessels, as opposed to Adderall's constricting effects.
Dexedrine is a part of Adderall, no?

Yes, but dex is the less adrenaliney bit of Adderal.
Yes, gingko does something like dilate peripheral blood vessels.
I just didn't think it would do the trick.
But I'd be trying it if I were you. Of course. Taken it for years myself, for (some of) the same reasons.
What I meant by adrenaliney is that the l isomers of amphetamine have more peripheral effects, and this, I dunno how, has something (what?) to do with adrenaline.
But there are people here who know stuff about this.

Unless Adderall is a life saver for your ADD, you might consider Concerta.
I don't know why, but most stimulants and even Provigil give me the "Little Smokey Syndrome," but Concerta doesn't and actually makes me a little more erect.

My p-doc said that Adderall should enhance the sexual experience. I'm female, so can't comment on the constriction. Go over to www.addforums.com and ask there, it's the best place for all add related questions.

hopefully it will get better. How many mg's do you take?
