Tried it and hated it. All I did was sleep and it made me very nauseous. I started at 25 mg. Some people say you should start lower and titrate slowly. But it seems to knock most people out. It's also one very expensive med!

I tried it and it induced profound erectile dysfunction and some nausea. I found it mediocre for ADHD and OK for depression. Overall a mediocre, overhyped, overpriced drug (despiramine was more effective) which is far more useful to Lilly as a cash cow than to patients as a treatment.

I tried it as well. Strattera works well for my concentration, but while taking it I felt as if I was hardely able to move most of the time. I was tired and lethargic. I also felt as if I was talking in slow motion. I am now taking Adderall, and am doing well on it so far. I don't know if my concentration is as sharp, but at least I don't have the drugged feeling that Strattera gave me. -L

I take it with Dexedrine and Concerta.
I never believe it does anything until I stop it for a couple of days and see how distracted I get. Then I start it again. Definitely needs
slow, careful titration over many months to avoid the lethargy.

I tried Strattera....feel like it was pushed on me by the pdoc....Anyway, I had the opposite reaction than most people I guess; I couldn't sleep for 2 days and felt pretty awful. It sort of felt like all my brain chemicals had been sopped up with a sponge and there weren't any left. As far as concentration, it might have helped a bit but I can't really say.

my therapist just mentioned this med to me today. doesn't sound like it's very fun. i was commenting to him that it's hard to concentrate reading- mind wandering off- rereading the same thing over and over, that sort of stuff. not real great when you're in grad school! it's really always been that way for me most of my life i think.

i'm taking wellbutrin, lexapro and klonopin.

do i dare add something else to the mix? i'd love to be able to concentrate, but i am not about to fall asleep! it looks like strattera is out.

Strattera made me VERY tired! I did help my concentration, but it was hard to keep myself awake. I felt as if I were talking in slow motion. I am now taking Adderall XR, and it is wonderful. You may want to ask your doctor about trying it. -L
