depakote + alcohol = nausea?

Posted by PM80 on April 27, 2005, at 11:47:56

Has anyone else experienced mild nausea after drinking moderate amounts of alcohol while on Depakote? I didn't drink all that much (3 glasses of wine) and I feel a bit nauseous today; come to think of it, i felt nauseous last night while drinking. Crackers helped. This also happened after one night when I drank a lot. It is like a hangover nauseous, but I never normally get that unless I drink a whole lot. It seems it may be tied to having an empty stomach. Maybe it intensifies any possible nausea? I normally have a really strong stomach. I'm only sick when I'm SICK.

Thoughts? Experiences?

Yes, i know it's bad for my liver (nm)
