Hi,
I've been on nortrip for two weeks, i reached 100mg a few days ago. I don't take any other drug except clonazepam(never been a problem), the problem is that nortrip has made me completely anorgasmic and severely impotent . Will this go away? Is it 'normal'? I should mention that i haven't recovered from my depression yet, i.e. no therapeutic response from nortrip yet. Any input appreciated but i would like to hear people with nortrip experience.
Thanks,
Mattias

Hi Mattias,
Perhaps you could take 15mg of your Remeron for a few days and see if it improves.
Kind regards,
Ed.

Hi,
>completely anorgasmic and severely impotent....
Nortriptyline does sometimes cause impotence. I don't think clomipramine made you impotent though, which suggests that nort might not be responsible.
I misunderstood what you said in your mail. You said you were anorgasmic, I didn't realise you were impotent. Anorgasmia is a condition where you *can* get an erection but can't have an orgasm.
If the impotence persists, you could try Viagra.

Yes of course, i just wondered if anyone had experienced a transient peroid of loss of libido with nortrip. That's all. I was thinking how everybody said it doesn't cause sexual dysfunction but is rather pro-sexual. Hmm.. wait and see, i guess...

Hi Mattias, maybe once your depression has lifted, the other problems will resolve themselves. Or did it start with the nortrip?

Hi Maxime,
It started with nortrip, i have no sex drive at the moment. The dosing seems to be a bit tricky, some sources says response rates are higher in the lower end of the dosing range, appr. 50mg. I will stay at 100mg and have a blood test done.
