I need an AD that will help me think straight. Ie not make me think in total nonsence.
It seems that my thoughts are nonsense a lot of the time. Not psychotic, but just nonsence.
Like for instance, the other day, I wondered why the automatic door wasn't alive. It moved by itself and so for a split second I thought it was alive. I could easily and quickly tell I was wrong, but thoughts like this pop through my head all day. Weird stuff that makes no sence.
Has anyone found that certain AD's make you think more normally, rationally, clearly than others ??

Hey Linkadge,
It's been my experience out of ALL the ssri's that all but one help to increase my focus. The only exception for me has been Paxil. For some reason Paxil gave me some weird thoughts both times I tried it. If you want some really weird thoughts then take some Dilantin consistently.:)

Trying to stay away from Mood stabalizers, depakote made me paranoid. (strange for a med thats occationally used for schitsophrenia)

lol Hi, no relation. You are right about the rumors though. Supposedly Jack Dreyfus supplied Richard Nixon with 1000 pills of Dilantin in 1968 and re-uped him again in the early 70's. Those stories of course were never substantiated. I read Dreyfus's book A REMARKABLE MEDICINE HAS BEEN OVERLOOKED and he makes no mention of it. Apparently in the year 2000 a guy named Summers wrote a book trashing President Nixon and I guess Dreyfus told him he hooked up old Tricky Dick. I doubt it but who knows. Dreyfus also met with Ronald Regan and was always angry no one in the government gave him what he wanted. Good call. JN
