Just wondering if anyone has taken depakote Er and topamax at the same time. The depakote, I can't tell if it works yet the one thing I know for sure is that it makes me soooo tired and the insomnia is horrible.

Yes, I take both. But I have lowered my Depakote dose. Mind you, I also take about 4 other meds too, including a few antidepressants, which really help. You really, really might want to talk to your doctor about combining meds. It takes awhile, but taking 4-5 meds is common.Best,
