I've just started lamictal, and my doctor has me on 25mg every other day. I understand why it must be slowly titrated because of the whole rash thing, but how long before the effects kick in? Any comments about this would be greatly appreciated.

Johnnny, the second week of lamictal was the best i had felt in 3 years, depression lifted. In others it may take much longer to build in the blood, but antidepressant effects are noted quite quickly.
I just can't get past the 50mgs because of the headaches, but other than that it's great. Oh yeah, and waking up at insane hours full of energy. But it was better than wanting to sleep all day in depression.Brian
