Hello all,
Is anyone currently taking selegiline?
Has anyone found selegiline effective for improving motivation or focus/attention/concentration?

I notice you are intrested in meds that all deal with increasing dopamine, from analyzing all your posts.
You may have a chance in asking your doctor about it in the UK, since Selegine really isnt a drug of a abuse, it will slowly over time seem to increase your drive and ambition, resulting from the higher levels of dopamine. You wont get high on it, becuase it at higher doses stops affecting MOA-B enzyme, and goes for serotonin.
Anyways, you and me have both intrests in psychostimulants, and dopamine agents.
Cheers
Matt

Dopamine is a nuerotransmitter of survival, fear, motivation, ambition, and paranoia.
In situations, when i have panic attacks, i feel i am in absolute danger for my life, my dad pierces me and abuse, ive learned that when i have panic attacks i feel in control, same to amphetamines.
In nature, dopamine levels are high becuase of worry of survival, africa, the gazzels, any creature that is hunted, this causes paranoia.
My dad has told me would kill me for horrible reasons, i've learned that the brain sort of activeates an "emergeny alert", i will have the energy of fusion and feel a feeling of exhileration and feel a feeling to do increadible psychical staminama during that period of time. Norepenephrine and adrenaline are also involved for the energy to run.
If you start anazyling situations more, your dopamine levels will increase, tell your self to be ovservant of danger, it lurks. This may improve your alertness and energy levels.
Abstract post, but maybe it will help you with your dopamine shortage. The best to you
Matt

Check out alternative psychobabble. I remember there was a discussion about it there. Or try the search function on this site.

I hope you are having a good time back at university. As you know, Larry Hoover was taking low dose Selegiline up until quite recently, and he may well be still taking it. I think he was having some problems with increased insomnia. I have been taking 5mg Selegiline with Tyrosine or DLPA for some months, and it has worked very well. I recently added Remeron to deal with Selegiline insomnia.
Below are some of the high points of earlier Selegiline posts. in more or less chronological order. (I did a lot of research in the archives, and saved it all, so I am glad to be able to pass some of it on.)
