Hello,
There are a few interesting ADs which seem to have vanished into thin air. Does anyone know if any of these ADs are still available anywhere? I would be interested to know.
Pivagabine (Tonerg).... a CRF modulator and a weak GABA transaminase inhibitor. I think it was originally available in Italy.
Oxaflozane (Conflictan)..... I believe that this was a French AD with a serotonergic mechanism of action. It was said to have anti-conflict activity, hence the brand name.
Metapramine (Timaxel)....... This AD was said to work by increasing NE turnover and acting as an NMDA antagonist.
Iprindole (Prondol)..... This drug was formerly used in the UK and Ireland as a treatment for depression. Its mechanism of action was very poorly understood.
Does anyone know what happened to any of these drugs? Are they still available anywhere? Have you ever tried any of them?
Ed.
This is the end of the thread.
