Hello,
Bupropion is not approved for depression in the UK. It is licensed for smoking cessation but is rarely prescribed at all because it has received a lot of bad publicity over here. The CSM (a government organisation) has specifically recommended that it should never be combined with antidepressants.
At the moment I take citalopram (Celexa/Cipramil). I'd like to combine it with bupropion (Zyban) as is common in other countries.
Has anyone in the UK ever been prescribed Zyban for a mental health problem?

On the NHS prescribing zyban it wouldn't happen because of the seizure scare and for smoking cestation only for 6/8 weeks because of the seizure problem. Also it's expensive..docs seem to deal out the cheapest first.
I had to buy zyban online..didn't tell the doc..
Can't remember now if it helped me or not.
This is the end of the thread.
