Ultram didn't help my social anxiety, Feeling down

Posted by TheOutsider on October 15, 2004, at 14:17:35

I about to run out of GHB and I'm desperate find something else that will give me relief!
I tried brand ultram at a 100mg dosage, the effects felt more like an SSRI than an opiate and it did little for my SA.

Now I'm discouraged and also worried that my negative reaction to it means that Nardil won't work either.
Funnily enoughth dexedrine does help my social anxiety as well as ADD.
I'm also taking Clomipramine which is helpful for depression and anxiety but not social anxiety.
Anyone have any thoughts on the situation?

I don't know if you've tried Parnate, but it has some of the characteristics of both Clomipramine and dexedrine. I believe you would find it superior to Nardil for ADD; although, it would not have the power of dexedrine in this area. Parnate seems to be considered one of the better meds for social anxiety and might be a good choice for those in particular who have found stimulants to have some efficacy in their particular situation, as Parnate is relatively dopaminergic.

Todd your suggestion that I should try Parnate is a very good one.
Unfortunatly there a problems specific to the UK in trying Parnate.
Firstly its very had to get it prescribed, most doctors don't like it because its an MAOI!
Secondly for some stupid reason the Maximun recomended dose for Parnate in the UK is 30mgs, much lower than the US dose, I don't know why!
