Hi, I am on ADs and anti-anxiety meds. I do not smoke. But I use smokeless tobacco (dipping) etc.
I had quit but when I take my medication I crave nicotine. I hate the negative effects of tobacco on my health but the medications seems to esculate the craving for nicotine.
When I was hospitalized with depression, anxiety, and OCD I noticed that everyone seemed to smoke. Is there a correlation between anxiety disorders and nicotine. I know nicotine can be a stress reliever.
Just curious

Nicotine can have both effects on people with anxiety disorders. Low doses can ease anxiety, but if the dose gets too high it can cause anxiety and panic. It might help if you have ADD type symptoms but it might make things worse if you have any degree of psychosis.
