Hey, hopefully others will give you the answers you are seeking...I am no expert...But I just wanted to say, I remember reading alot of your posts when you were on meds and it seems like you were taking many, many pills. I was just gonna tell you that maybe you should just try effexor (if thats what you want) along with a mood stablizer and perhaps xanax for the anxiety.??
Just an opinion...
Take care
Hugs.....

You already know this, so I'm really just reminding you and reassuring you. You don't need someone else to tell you the answer.
When you took Effexor before, it worked for you. There's every chance that it will work for you again. Take the whole 37.5mg to start with -- that's a very low dose, you know. If it gives you some adjustment problems, remember that they're *adjustment* problems. They will go away -- but only if you give them the chance to go away.
Here's your choice right now: give Effexor an honest chance to work for you again, or continue to feel like [unacceptable word deleted] until you can give a med a chance to work. That's about it. An honest chance means that you put up with a few nasties for a few days or even a week or so. No, not pleasant. Just necessary if you want relief.
I'm in a similar boat, kiddo, and hating the ['nother word deleted] out of it. I'm also still taking the stuff daily -- despite really wanting to quit. If I can do it, you can do it. Just think of having someone else suffering along with you, half a world away.
Give it your best shot and best luck.

Hi CC,
Here is another obscure way to look at your problem: You already take the worlds most useless drug, nicotine, so you have nothing to loose by taking an AD. None of these drugs we talk about here do anywhere near as much damage as those damn cigarettes you smoke, so what's the problem? :)
Cheers,
Paul.

Hi CC.
The last few weeks of going without medication were supposed to give you an opportunity to catch your breath and clear your head regarding the course of your drug treatment. You were given some time to think. They were also supposed to give you a temporary break from side effects and make you emotionally less sensititive to the idea that it is normal to experience them. Do you think you are ready to proceed?
