What is the pharmacological difference between regular paxil and paxil CR?

I cant find any info on this.

hello there, chemist here.....the CR is Controlled Release, the other is immediate release. i would suspect a smoother ride with the CR. more paxil is available for use by your body over a longer period of time with the CR formulation than the immediate release. all the best, chemist
