Hi guys, I just happened to stumble across this board while doing a search on Lexapro side effects. Here's my story...I'm 24, my dr. put me on 10 mgs of Lexapro for my anxiety and anger issues (feeling "rage" in my chest when I'm mildly upset). I started at 5mgs for the first 6 days and went up to 10. I had previously been taking xanax as needed, and still will if necessary. I am loving Lexapro, haven't had an anxiety attack and no side effects. Except today is my 8th day and for the past 48 hours my left eyelid has been twitching CONSTANTLY. Everytime I blink the top lashes flutter. Could this be a side effect from the Lex??? Has anyone else expierenced this?
Thank you so much, I have already learned so much from this board in the past 20 minutes!Michelle

In reply to Lexapro causing eye twitching?, posted by seeshell_12 on August 19, 2004, at 19:24:34
YES! I take lex for the exact same reasons - ANXIETY attacks! I had some weird vision problems my first 3 weeks that included eye twitching. That is also associated with stress for sure, it will pass.
Lex will really help you -good luck!
