sorry cant spell.. i mean i can not s top obsessing over my breathing which then turns into hyventilating and then i feel dizzy and panicky... i breath into a paper bag and i dont get enough air and i feel funny etc etc... grr fro mthe time i awake till the time i go to sleep....
i am going to go get effexor in a few weeks (after my 24 hr holtor monitor to ease my mind about arithmia)
what do you guys do when this happens to you?

Take a *normal* sized breath. Look at the second hand on a watch or clock and hold your breath for 10-15 seconds. It will feel like you can't hold it, but you really can. Exhale and do it again. And again. And again. After a few minutes the physical symptoms should subside. Repeat the breathing exercise as needed. This is better than a paper bag and can be done anywhere unobtrusively.
Knowing how to do this simple exercise stopped my hyperventilation problems essentially overnight.
