Hello again,
Another question for you all ...I take a combo of meds, and the newest ones I've added are Lithium and Prozac. I have taken Prozac in the past and have had no side effects at a low dose, except it "poops out" after 2 months. I started the Lithium about two months ago, but recently increased from 450 mg. to 900 mg.
The first week I increased the Lithium I felt great -- in fact, maybe too great? Lots of energy and motivation and happiness -- all very strange for me. I wasn't sure if it was the Prozac kicking in, or the increased Lithium, or the combo.
The next week I was extremely irritable -- so irritable my chest hurt. Nothing helped -- I tried Xanax, but it only made me tired, so then I tried stims, but of course they just made me more irritable.
This week I have felt very sick. Nauseous, muscle aches, headache, fatigued. Also VERY depressed.
I am wondering if it is the Lithium causing this? Or perhaps the combo of Lithium of Prozac?
Any insights are greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Cindy

The only thing you can do is try and reduce each individually. I had irritability with the combination of lithium and Celexa shortly after adding the celexa. But the funny thing was that for me, the irritability subsided upon reduction of either lithium or celexa. I found that 5mg of celexa and 600mg of lithium was a good combination.
