Hello.
Just in case anyone might be thinking of starting Zoloft, I figured I'd share my experience briefly.
Before: depressed almost always over silly/dumb stuff. Sad. CONSTANTLY worrying even when nothing to worry about. Insomnia...panic attacks. All kinds of fun stuff.
After: depressed rarely and then only a little. Don't really worry about things anymore. No more panic attacks...but there is the occasional high-strung feeling for which I'll take a lorazepam.
The positives I've already noted. The negatives: I've gained about 20 friggin pounds! Yech. Although there's no real heavy sadness anymore, there's no real heavy happiness or highs either. If I'm not sad, then I'm only even-keeled. If I do get angry about something, I get real angry...nothing serious or dangerous, just more agitated than I used to. Finally: there are days when I'm VERY sleepy.
SO: in the end...Zoloft saved my sanity and I love it. All drugs have some minuses but, for me, they are more than worth it. I can't believe the difference from how I was...life was hell...now I feel like I'm living again.
I take 150mgs per day in the evening.
Take care everyone,
Michael

Im glad your feeling better, i tried zoloft, but it didnt work for me. I tried paxil right after and same effect. Tired on both, no emotion at all, like i could have won the lottery and just been like "oh, great". So, I just started taking prozac and I think it will be better for me. Good luck.
