What is the best way to discontinue Zoloft to avoid seratonin reuptake?

"to avoid serotonin reuptake"???

What do you mean? This is what happens when you take ZOLOFT, when you stop Zoloft there is no more serotonin reuptake.

Zoloft blocks serotonin reuptake, allowing more serotonin to remain in the synapse.

But I can offer suggestions on how to stop Zoloft. It had a very very nast w/drawal for me, but that's just me.

While WEANING SLOWLY off Zoloft,

1. Boost nutrition- eat fruit and vegies (and a lot of bannanas

2. Try take a natural alternative- St Johns Wart or L- tryptophan

But reduce your dose slowly

can you please tell me what dose you are on and how long for?

by the way, if zoloft didnt help u much im not suprised- it is the weakest SSRI for OCD, depression and anxiety...

I guess I meant serotonin uptake? Whatever one gets when they go off cold turkey - which is what I did one time several years ago. OK, I have only been on 25 mg. a little more than 3 weeks, but I have so many health issues right now, including severe stomach problems, that I don't feel I need the extra chemical right now. When one weans, is it a matter of breaking the tablet smaller and smaller, or is it a matter of increasing days between doses? Thanks
