Which dosing strategy is best for Lamictal? At what dose should you take twice daily or is split dosing better for any dose, as far as ups and downs?

I am on 300mg of Lamictal. My Pdoc has me taking 150mg in AM, 150mg in PM. My blood level stays a bit more constant and I am very leveled out at this point.
