I have been on 300mg of Trileptal taken at bedtime for about a month. During this month I have been more anxious and more depressed. I was going to just stick it out and continue taking the medication until I see my pdoc on the 9th of July. Today I am thinking differently. I seem to be getting confused. For instance, I asked my mother where the garbage can for my bathroom was. It was there all the time but I swear I didn't see it. I forgot to fill my car up with gas. Just little things that I never do. The biggest problem is that I am so much more depressed and anxious and it feels like my blood pressure has bottomed out and my heart races at times. Can these symptoms be attributed to the Trileptal? Should I just take myself off of it? My pdoc is hard to get a hold of and I certainly won't get in touch with her this weekend but I don't know if I can take another day of this.
I guess this is another failed med trial. When is something going to work? I am getting so tired.
God help me.

You will do if God won't answer ;)
I am also on Klonopin, 1mg 2x a day and Levoxyl 25mcg. As for getting myself off of Trileptal, I had not planned on just stopping it, but rather going down to 150mg for three days or so and then stopping it. I read on another website that tapering off it is generally recommended in 150mg increments.
I really am not trusting my pdoc lately. She said that the hypotension was not a side effect of the Trileptal or at least not one she had heard of. Funny, since after she said that I went and looked at the prescribing information and found it listed as a possible side effect. Are there any good doctors out there who I can afford??
Thanks for your thoughts...

Hmm...not to be overly suspicious but I will be: what does my geographical local have to do with anything? How are you supposed to taper off this stuff?
