Hi,
My name is Jennifer and I have been on psych. drugs for about 2 1/2 years. I have been on over 10 drugs. Not at the same time but just trying to find out what works. Well, my doctor found out that I can't take psychotropic drugs.I have been off od ativan since March 27, 2004 and off the geodon since April 29,2004 and am living a nightmare. I am having all kinds of withdrawal symptoms and they are horrible. I go some days without any but when I do get the symptoms I feel so badly. I never felt this way in my life even before the drugs and while being on them. I am afraid that I will be like this for the rest of my life. How long does withdrawal last? Will it get better? I came off both meds in a month. Way too fast. I am blaming myself for going on these drugs. I should have dealt with my problems thru counseling. I would have saved myself so much pain that I am going thru now.

It's only been a month or so since you came off last one. It does get better. And their are a lot of things you can do besides meds like exercise is the #1 anti depressant I sometimes think. I hope you feel better.
