Dear Panda,
I am in a really bad state. I was doing more research and I found some articles that say Tardive dyskinesia could show up to 3 months after discontinuing the drug and one article said it could show up many months after stopping the drug. I am so scared and hope that this is not true in my state. I came off these drugs too quickly and now I am paying the price for it. Will this ever end??Jennifer

>Hi Jennifer,
Do you know what drugs were causing TD in those articles? It really is highly unlikely that Geodeon will cause you to have any form of TD when taken at low doses for a relatively short time.
Cheers,
Panda.

Hi Panda,
These articles were generalized and just labeled all AP's. I was also on Zyprexa and Seroquel. I was on all AP's for about 2 years; maybe a little less. I can't remember. I did a search on Geodon and said that Geodon and the other ap's I was on do cause td. I am just so nervous and scared and I am trying to do to my best not to think of it.

Thanks Panda for reassuring me. I am taking these articles I am reading and ripping them apart. I am doing it to myself. I definately think I came off the meds way too fast. Oh well. Were you on AP's? What do you know about AP's?

>Seroquel, Zyprexa, Risperdal, Geodeon & Abilify are called 'atypical APs' primarily because they demostrate that they cause TD very rarely, which was the worst problem with the older AP's. You need only worry if you take them at high doseages for Psychosis treatment for extended periods of time. Low doseages for anxiety treatment isn't really a problem. :)
Cheers,
Panda.
