> Hello,
>
> I've been on a 4mg daily dose of Edronax (Reboxetine) for about 8 days now. Previously I had been on one TCA, many SSRI's, 1 SNRI and 1 RIMA (for about 3 days, Aurorix which has caused the worst side-effects out of any anti-depressant I've been on).
>
> I was on Cipramil (Celexa, Citolopram HBr) for quite a while until it made me really borderline, I had my best experiences with Aropax (Paxil), but after being on it for a while I noticed it's side effects, like sleepiness.
>
> The Reboxetine isn't bad, sure I have a few side effects, but they are very minimal so far, some of them I would even class as good effects :-). Like sleeping for only 6 hours and not feeling very tired the next day (that would never happen on Aropax). The idea of taking Reboxetine in the first place was to give me more drive as Aropax (Paxil) just zonks you out after a while and you become very lazy. Whats the point of taking an anti-depressant which pretty much well depresses your drive?
>
> One thing I've learnt about anti-depressants is that while one may make one person feel sick, or whatever, it may work much better for someone else. The side-effects I've read from people on this drug makes me wonder why they stopped taking it. Some of them seem very minimal i.e. "my balls felt like they were in cold water" , "It made me emotional".
>
> Since when is it a side-effect to be emotional? That's what normal people without depression are.
> If this stuff makes me cry then I'll be happy as it would've been the first time I've been able to cry in years.

Unfortunately, reboxetine and mannerix are not available in the U.S.

I'm thinking about trying manerix/aurorix anyway. What bad side effects did you have?

Anybody know why we don't have reboxetine here in the U.S.? (It wouldn't be a good choice for me anyway with my anxiety, but I'm just interested)

I'm not certain about this but I think that Strattera is the US version of Reboxetine. My ***guess***is that the difference is corporate rather than chemical, but someone else may correct this view.

I've taken both - Reboxetine and stratterra - they are both na reuptake inhibitors, but they have nothing in common in the way they effected me.

That's interesting. Reboxetine was intolerable for me, though it seemed to have potential. It was presented to me as an AD that helps to stimulate sociability and energy. It gave me weird tingles. It caused intense agitation, insomnia, and irritability. Ultimately, as most Ads do, it caused mania in some form. What were the differences for you? Did either of them help?
