Anyone here take prozac weekly ??
Do you think that it makes a difference. I mean in compliance and or side effects ??
What day of the week do you take it, and how does this seem to help??

If you try it make sure you've taken the daily version for at least 12 weeks. The prescribing info says this but a lot of doctors ignore it.
My doctor gave my samples of Prozac Weekly to try after being on a daily dose for only two weeks. What happened was that I took the weekly and I would feel disoriented, dilated pupils and about a day or so before it was time for the next dose, I would sink into a major slump, like I was coming down from a drinking or drug binge.
I really didn't any major sides as far as nausea, diarreah etc. but you should definitely have taken a daily dose at least 12 weeks to have it built up in your body prior to starting the Prozac Weekly to avoid a roller coaster ride.

Hmmm. I didn't know that. It sounds like quite a major oversight by your doctor, though.
Have you ever missed a dose? I can't decide if I would be more likely to forget a once a day dosing schedule or taking it only once a week. Thanks for the heads-up.

It wasn't an oversight. I brought it up and the doctor said the only reason they don't start people on 90mg weekly is because if you've never tried Prozac and are allergic, you'd have 90mg in your system and it would be much more to deal with.
Obviously not good advice from him.

Hey Ya'll
I am taking lexapro 20mg for close to 4 months now. I feel better than I did but still not feeling great. Still have a lot of sadness, hypersensitivity and zero self esteem. It just seems like Lexapro is not powerful enough, so at this point I am thinking of either adding wellbutrin or going to prozac. Any thoughts??
Thanks 1000000
