I lost 30 of the 35 that I gained, so I am 147 now. It took 9 months or so. I am a male and I am 5'10". I went from 142 to 177 in 6 weeks the fall of 2002. It has taken me a while to lose the apathy and listlessness. Zyprexa really messed up my life. I did it for 5 months, and I complied every step of the way. i wish I pulled the plug sooner. I wished I did not agree to begin with. It was an optional treatment, and I had been in agreement with my regular psychiatrist from the time we began which was three months before a substitute suggested it. Every week for three months we talked about whether or not an antipsychotic can make me normal again from amphetamine-induced psychosis, and since I was progressing {at university} we decided not to each time. i always wanted to leave it open, but I am mad at my self now. I guess I am accountable though with my bipolar of course. well, she cut me off and wouldn;t let me talk about a bad night with coffee and cigarettes and other issues with past hallucinations which were long gone. My glitches haven't reduced one bit because of that drug. I never want to touch an antipsychotic again if I can help it. My symptoms were from residual effects of substance abuse.

Get some wellbutrin or some kind of help!

I finally got on a mood stabilizer too, so maybe that can be an alternative for you.

I stopped taking Zyprexa in November and I've lost almost 40 pounds since. I felt more lively and interested in life after about 2 weeks.

Hang in there!
