I did a really dumb thing. I tried to stop taking the Lexapro cold turkey. I have been off of it for 3 days. Today I have been very dizzy and can't stop throwing up. I think I am gonna start taking it again. I don't like the withdrawal symptoms and maybe I should just give it a try since I have only been on it like 22 days. Will being off of it for 3 days slow down my progress?

Do you have a doctor? Do you see a shrink or primary doc? Some doctors are very meticulous about weening a patient off drugs as well as titrating upward. You need the guidance of a doc, and don't be afraid to speak your mind or ask questions. If you want to move up slower {take a few more days of starting out a product before moving to the original target dose} or move down slower, I don't think a doctor would object. That is classic SSRI discontinuation syndrome, and it happen to me once while abroad while on 150mg of Zoloft. I could not get a refill right before I left, and I suffered for a whole week. I
Some people do not have the luxury of drug maintenance with a doctor on a weekly basis, but you should deal with drugs that way. You should check in with the doctor and ask what you should do each week until you stabilize.

you should definetly start the lexapro again. You will deffinetly feel better. All doctors say if you miss a dose or 2 or 3 just start back with normal dose again. Don't do make up dosing.
