i was wondering if anyone has added wellbutrin xl to lexapro. i am on 5 mg of lexapro. sometimes i feel angry, hyper ,anxious, no emotions towards anything, and no sex drive. i was put on lexapro for anxiety. will wellbutrin cause more anxiety? i was told wellbutrin isn't good for anxiety. also will increasing my dose of lex to 10 mg maybe help with my se's i am habing on 5 mg. maybe i am not getting enough lex. i would appreciate any input.

Hi,
While I'm not taking Wellbutrin, I know that it's a very common med to add to lex. It can increase your anxiety levels but usually the lex counters that. You could add a low dose of Klonopin or Xanax to your cocktail if you start taking Wellburtin and feel anxious.
How long have you been on lex? It can take a while for the side effects to go away. Although, I recently increased my dose from 10 mg to 15 mg and haven't experienced as many side effects as I did when starting lex.
