I have been on Xanax for about a year and a half. Everytime I try to stop I get these bad sores in my mouth. Has this ever happened to anybody else out there? As it happens I can go for a week without the Xanax but by a week my mouth hurts so much and I am soooo tense I can't go on and I take .5 to get me thu.
HELP!!!!

Maybe you are getting mouth sores from bitting the inside of your cheek (other parts of your mouth) from anxiety. I have permanent marks on the inside of both cheeks from doing this. But I usually do it it night when sleeping so can't make myself stop.
